This is Bulgaria. My bitter sweet trip last year when my father got sick and I had to leave the US for emergency to take care of him. It’s a beautiful country and I love it but this trip was bitter sweet.

The trip seemed like this window to me. I was pretty much depressed like I was in this dark room and all the happiness was outside. Just like the greens outside this window. I was sad and emotionally exhausted.

I thought the gypsy lady would give me an advice. I met her at the bus one day on the way to visit my dad in the clinic. Instead, the gypsy just turned and smiled at me.

This is my dad. He came out the clinic and tried to spend the time with me in a way I’ve never expected. He offered to go to this mountain monestery and we prayed. This played it’s believed to be healing. I prayed for his health.

Overall it all ended well and I saw the light. Just like the light hits the crown of this fall tree in Bulgaria.
