World Nomad Joe Stuart fulfills a dream of driving up California's Highway 101 north from LA. Along the way, he meets cool skaters in Venice Beach, a friendly "Santa Barbarian," and the noisy and slightly stinky seals of San Simeon. On the beach, Joe engages with a long-time local who spends his days searching for treasure in the sand, and debates whether to brave the frigid waters of central California.
