Meet Amanda Jurden

Ohio-born and raised, Amanda's adventures include studying in Spain, volunteering at a children's home in El Salvador, exploring peace and reconciliation in Northern Ireland, and voyaging with Semester-at-Sea. She loves ice cream, young adult novels, board games, TV comedies, and her family and friends, not necessarily in that order. Her love of writing began in first grade when she “published” her first book, The Time I Fell Off My Bike and the Handlebars Hit Me in the Stomach. In the future, Amanda hopes to find more time to travel and to publish a book with a shorter, less literal, title.
