Amanda Garcia - Mexico

My first trip outside of my continent: the Venice Carnival. Me, an exchange student with her camera, getting settled in her temporary home, Italy, decided to make her first trip in Europe to Venice. I’ve always wanted to go. Something about its canals and bridges seemed very inviting. And what better time to explore it than on the dates of the Carnival. Bright colors everywhere I look. Confetti all over the floor, bunches of masks in every corner, people laughing, dancing, walking around in costumes that seemed to be made in the very XVII century. This, combined with the Gothic architecture, the soft bounce of the gondolas in the canals and the perfect amount of sun on a cold day; the energy was magical.
