Andy Magness is an ex-pat American living in Te Anau, New Zealand on the edge of Fiordland National Park. He’s travelled extensively and road tripped around both North America and New Zealand in search of good climbs and good waves. A former nomad and lifelong dirtbag, he values adventure and thrift in equal measures.
He currently works as a river guide, pest control contractor, SUP instructor, non-profit director, and author – depending on the day. His writing has appeared in Wilderness Magazine, NZ Triathlon and Multisport, GearJunkie.com, Breathe Magazine, Adventure Magazine NZ, and Say Yes to Adventure.
He is the author of UltraMental, a training guide for endurance athletes and is currently working on his second book.
