Meet Mark Eveleigh

Mark has written for BBC Wildlife, BBC Travel, CNN Travel, Telegraph, Conde Nast Traveller, The Boston Globe, The Globe & Mail, Esquire and National Geographic Traveler. His books have been published by Penguin Random House and National Geographic. 

When Mark isn't on assignment he can usually be found in West Bali, where he keeps a few well-stacked bookshelves and a pondok (shack) full of surfboards. He’s the author of The Real Bali Guidebook - The Wild West. Kopi Dulu, about his 15,000km overland journey through Indonesia, was listed among Jakarta Post’s best books of 2022. Vagabond, about his 1,225km solo hike up the length of Spain, has been ranked among the '6 top travel reads for 2024' by National Geographic.
