Meet Sugato Mukherjee

Sugato is a photographer and writer based in Calcutta. His works have appeared in The Globe and Mail, National Geographic Traveller, Al Jazeera, and Atlas Obscura, among others. His coffee table book on Ladakh has been published from Delhi and received critical acclaim. Sugato's work on sulphur miners of East Java was awarded by UNESCO. He enjoys writing about offbeat destinations and exotic food as much as photographing his long-term documentary projects.
