Meet Tamara Thiessen

Travel Writer and Photographer

Global-roaming journalist, travel writer, and photographer Tamara Thiessen migrates constantly between her Southern and Northern Hemisphere bases in Australia, France, and California, but considers her suitcase her most recognizable landmark.

As roving in her work as her whereabouts, she has written for newspapers, travel, and leisure publications worldwide and is the author of several travel guides and cultural books on France, Italy, Spain, Australia, and Austria. She specializes in Borneo travel as author of the Bradt Travel guide to Borneo, due for 4th-edition release in early 2020.
