Many of the construction workers in China have migrated from rural areas to look for wealth in the cities that are being erected all round China. This migrant worker has just finished a long day shift and is taking a break before resting for the night.

All the workers live onsite in temporary white and blue huts. Some have as many as ten to a small room with two to a bed (Hot bedding). One sleeps, one works.

These workers come from all over China to build the cities in order to earn wealth to send back to families in the countryside. Often however construction companies don't pay the workers for months which can lead to tension between worker and site managers. This site manager is inspecting the work being done.
