Tambat (literally meaning Copper) Ali are traditional coppersmiths dating back to the Peshwas of Pune whose work have declined rapidly due to the modernization and commercialization.

Once known for their intricate hand crafted designs, they take hours to create a piece which can be used a normal utensil in kitchens.

The younger generation of coppersmiths don't really want to get into this traditional field. When asked about his future, he walked away while watching a cricket match.
