Landscape photography and Norway have a natural synergy together. It was my first time living abroad, my first wild camping trip, and my first opportunity at truly incredible scenery.
Landscape photography and Norway have a natural synergy together. It was my first time living abroad, my first wild camping trip, and my first opportunity at truly incredible scenery.
But Scandinavian landscape gives way just as easily to its modern architecture and many hours were happily spent here as a student.

Likewise were it's amazing activities - a first time skiier like a bambi deer, but just able to take a steady shot. Really taking part in a new society created many amazing moments.

It was a shame that my equipment lacked for some of them - just a poor exchange student with a basic camera, but a welcome lesson in framing and timing.

Most of all when it came to the 'nordlys' - an experience so difficult to capture both in picture and emotion. But these gifts of Norway were the beginning of an adventure that has lasted these 2 years since, and hopefully becoming a lifetime of unendimg stories.
