Bangkok is such a sensory overload. The first week I barely made it out of bed, also partially due to depression, and I felt like I was failing as a photographer for not getting out there rightaway an embracing it.

Travelling all the time and feeling like you have to take photos of the latest exciting things and with new angles can be exhausting. So I decided to just take a step back and walk anywhere and capture whatever spoke to my soul.

I ended up in an outskirt of Bangkok with tiny streets, little canals and no tourists. A small temple district with a giant Buddha caught my attention.

But I wasn't satisfied with just getting some nice shots of a giant Buddha, surrounding temples and smaller details of religious offerings and prayers. I literally wanted to see what else was there and walked behind the Buddha and across a small bridge.

I love how photography pushes me, ignites my curiosity and makes me see the world differently. It's like telling a story when you are overcome with emotion and can't quite capture it but you still want to show it to someone.
