Warcries from 10,000 dancing concheros

Once a year, the whole city stays tuned into this massive event, where literally more than 10,000 “Concheros” dance in the streets of Mexico for more than 5 hours.

It´s an interesting religious syncretism. They dance all the afternoon, remembering the traditions of their ancestors, but they will finish their dance reaching a catholic church where entire families get blessed.

By the stare of the younglings, you can imagine how impressive the scene is. Like this little girl, staring at the hordes of Concheros who are screaming out loud and dancing to the rhythm of the drums.

The sense of belonging is so strong, that even the kids found themselves overcoming their nervousness and anxiety, deciding to yell alongside their Conchero partners. Now they are part of it.
