Once a year onOrpheus Island a program called ATSIMS: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders in Marine Science, takes place. Indigenous Australian teens come to learn about marine life. They learn science from contemporary institutions & traditional knowledge from their elders.

Meet Jessie, she has been involved in the program from it's inception. She started as a student, became a mentor, a volunteer and now a project officer. This island has changed the trajectory of her life, inspired her love for the ocean. She is an indispensable part of the program, loved by all.
