Many hours are spent travelling along bumby, uneven roads commonly referred as the "Cambodian Massage". As new highways are being constructed the driver has to share the roads with ox-driven caravans and motorbikes.

On the way further north into Vietnam local food markets are found everywhere. Often along with fruit and vegetables, one will find mole hills of crickets as a food sources because they are rich in protein.
