In india it is a ritual to follow our family god yearly once; a belief of our early ancestors. With this plan I was on a trip to Madurai ( a small town ) with my family to visit that temple of ours. The journey was all fun and I had a chance to connect with the local culture that are being practised there, as it was my first trip to that place. Once the rituals were over, we boarded the train to get back to our home which takes approximately 9 hours to reach. It was a rainy morning and we started our journey with all joy. Unfortunately our train had to stop half the way over a 100 feet bridge as the railway line was completely covered with the flood water. Imagine yourself at a height of 100 feet on a train without any way to escape . It was just such an adventurous experience to every single passenger. As the time went, the officials on the train made an announcement that for the next 48 hours there will be no movement due to heavy flood and they started supplying food packets and water to us. We couldnt make any contact to our fellow people as there was no network over that place. As time flew, the darkness began and that is where the real challenge began. The sound of the flowing water under the bridge began to sound too loud and we could feel of train tilting over a side. We were all scared so much. By then, the movement stopped and the train became still. After 18 hours, we ran out of food and water. We couldnt find any source. Then the miracle happened. The local villagers noticed our train being struck and they approached us to know the situation. They were so kind hearted that the whole village gathered and cooked food for the entire passengers and they came forward to serve the food packets to each and every one of us. Help from the unknown is somewhat too greatful to be. It passified our fear. That moment I got a deeper chance to connect myself to those local people and learnt so many things. It was one such a great time. After 48 hours things normalised. The water level began to drop and the officials said the railway lines have a clear route and its about to function. Those local villagers put themselves throughout the entire day till we started our journey back to our hometown. This 48 hours of survival without network connection and food taught me several things. It was indeed a miracle and I believe that god sent those angels in the form of those local villagers.
