The famous proverb which is believed to date back to the fourth century AD says, “When you are in Rome, do what the Romans do.” This proverb applies to any place you go and any city you visit, but in Rome, you will find yourself in submission to its people and do what they do with happiness and joy. When I arrived in Rome in November 2015, I did not know how long I would be there and that is the most beautiful thing about it, but what will I do during this open period? The city of Rome is one of those cities that you either love without borders or leave it immediately without understanding the reason people love it, and I am of course from the first category, among those who saw it since the first visit in 2008, a huge museum whose origin or end cannot be known, and among Those who savored the most beautiful Italian dishes in it and walked in the countless alleys and its famous seven hills without feeling the time or the fatigue of its land characterized by paving stones "Sampetrini" which helps in non-slip while walking in cities with a fluctuating nature between the highs and lows. Why Rome? Within each of us is a city, that city may be his primary city, “his hometown,” or a city he lived in because of the nature of his work or his studies. Some children who are passionately talking about a specific city they have not yet visited but it is one of their most important dreams. I was dazzled by the small pictures on its cover, I started reading it, and then I found myself spending my time learning Italian, which was the beginning of my learning of this language. “I didn’t know that drawing the outside of the tower was much easier than going up, and I never imagined that the way inside was so narrow and opaque!” The language In Rome, I first started to update my Italian language, so I enrolled in Leonardo da Vinci school in its historical heart since the first morning after my arrival in the evening, although there are many people asking why we are learning a low-use language? The answer is simple, apart from being a beautiful musical language, it is an important language if you will spend time in Italy, as well as being a Latin language that will facilitate you to learn other languages such as French, Spanish and Portuguese as it happened to me when I tried to learn Spanish in Malacca, and the beauty of the Italian language for me lies In that she speaks exactly as you write, and this depends on your learning the basic rules of spelling, fortunately for me. What I learned in my childhood contributed to making it rooted in my mind and helped me a lot in continuing her learning. So that there is no hope of this task, I have deepened my language lessons by integrating them with the lessons of Italian history, especially those related to Rome, and with these lessons, I got at the Romit School, I began to touch progress in my practice of language with the public in Rome, and it inspired me a lot of what I wrote in my novel Mimosa. Safety About a week before my trip to Rome, I met my Italian teacher in Dubai, and when I learned of my intention to stay in Rome for a period of time, she advised me to take care of the thieves there, so the level of safety as she said in decline, of course, I was worried about the words of the teacher Maura especially that she knows her country more than me, but that was not for me, only a warning like the one I read in the media. My experience in Rome simply confirmed to me that all you have to do is be careful and not to be neglected and leave your things away from your eyes and then say they stole me.
