My first solo trip. A land which was unknown to me. A land of people with warm hearts. Kedarkantha trek summit in uttrakhand a part in India. This was my 1st trek ever, I had never done anything of this sort. The reason I choose this place, it wasn't that I couldn't go to some other place. But I choose this to conquer my fear of heights, travelling alone. But as soon as I saw that scenic views of nature suddenly all the fears disappeared. About the trek, this was my 1st trek it was not at all a cake walk as keeping in mind the physical fitness and stamina. 1st day - 5km walk from guest house to base camp,it took around 3 hours for others to reach, I being the last one reached there in 4.5 hours with slow and steady walk. My trek leader was my motivation throughout and offcourse the nature which was motivating. Friends were like welcome back Sakina, you are doing great. Those voices got smile on my face. On the entire trek those guys were saying me do you have this smile in any situation? Well that was no less than a compliment to me. That entire day we clicked pics and played some games and had amazing food and rested in our freezy cold tents, getting geared up for our next day move. 2nd day - I was prepared for what next am I going to witness, and believe me as we reached above it had more spectacular views. We were just 4 kms away from our mission Kedarkantha summit. Could see it right in front of my eyes. 3rd day – This was the toughest one we had to leave at 3am from our camp sites which was freezing cold less than -10°. The winds were chilly, we couldn't stand at a place the requirement was just to keep moving in order to allow our body to be warm. Our shoes were frozen the inner sole had ice on it. As I moved forward felt why am I doing this for what? but only a site of my dream came to my mind the reason I was there was to push all my limits. What a beautiful morning it could be to see sun rising just few miles away under the snow clad mountains throwing its ray's in the entire universe. As we walked by we could see pine trees covered in fresh snow. Our feets submerged in snow along with our souls who were witnessing so much more than just visuals. I was just few steps away from the final destination and I knew that I had to complete that and yes I did it with all the hard work and dedication. That was the happiest and the most proud moment I ever achieved. Finally at the peak seeing only mountains around me. Clicked some pics for a lifetime memory and the fun part was I slided down few of the trails, offcourse got a little hurt but it was worth it. Wait there was still more to come. Had to walk down 8 kms at a stretch. That 8kms took me 6 hours to walk down and was not an easy task at all. Many times I broke down, cried, pleaded why did I to do it, but finally when reached the place that's the time I breathed out my lungs. To sum it up This trek was amazing, walking in the snow with freezy winds and ice dunes like that of a sand dune. I had never seen these views ever in my life only dreamt to be in snow clad mountains. The nights had spectacular views of star gazing, felt as if I was a part of the galaxy. In those dark night when those stars were shining bright felt as if they are all talking to me saying to achieve all my dreams. lessons learnt do not give up on anything, if it takes time let it take, it may happen sooner or later, do not stop believing in yourself you can push all the boundries to achieve what you desire. This is my story of my 1st solo Trip.
