I didn't expect to find Pakistan

Thursday, December 21, 2017, this day is closer to my heart than any other day. Since it was the first time I was stepping out of my home town. It's not that I have never been out of station or anything but it's like I am travelling for travelling purpose solely. So a fine evening of December, I took a bus to start my journey to the heart of this country - Lahore - about 1210 KM far away from Karachi. Not only the journey was closer to my heart but the city of Lahore has a special place in my heart because of some personal connections. Anyhow the travelling from Karachi to Lahore via bus turned out to be the most tiring experience as the journey which was supposed to end in 16 or 17 hours ended after 27 hours. But the change in the city makes all the this tiresome experience by bus worth it as as I was here in city after seven years. I didn't expect to see so much on infrastructural level. Now that I had reached the city and i have seven days so I have to make the most out of those seven days. Before we go any further I would like to make this thing clear that Lahore is known for its food and historical remnants. Well I enjoyed both of them to its core. Sightseeing, shopping, snacking should sum up my whole travelling experience over all. But something unexpectedly pleasant happened. I found the serenity and peace in the winds there. I know it might sound weird, like how could one find peace in such place. Let me make a whole scenario of this whole peaceful moment that I had there. As I mentioned earlier the city has many historical remnants, one of the many was mosques. 2 of my favorite mosques and 1 shrine. the shrine of this saint was in outskirt of city in a small town named Kasur. A town which has narrow streets with unending bazaar. The shrine there has its own attractiveness for people there. The white cold marbles on sunny day in an open sky seems really good that i really wanted to lie down somewhere and sleep. One very old tree was in the center of the floor breaking the marbles with its strong roots. the tree looked 100s of years old. The moment there had silence and solitary in it.making the whole experience precious. From December 23 to December 29, 2017 I tried to discover the walled city of Lahore and I did as much as I could. Delhi gate, Shahi Hammam, Masjid Wazir Khan, Hazrat Data Gunj Bakhsh’s shrine, Lahore fort, Badshahi Mosque and the list goes on. Among my favorite places Masjid Wazir Khan and Badshahi mosque were incredible, the art work on the ceilings and walls of Wazir Khan Mosque were breathtaking. At that very moment my mind was not accepting the fact that 3 centuries ago how could these people be so perfect artists. Badshahi Masjid was not behind to astonish me. The wonder of foreign artists, and the alignments of minarets was jaw-dropping. It was such a captivating moment to see sunset from there when the bricks of mosques were bathed with orange sunlight. The time of dusk giving me strong 17th or 18th century vibes as I was there for that specific moment. Last but not the least is Masjid Wazir Khan. A mosque in the center of the walled city of Lahore near Delhi Gate. Although the mosque needs to renovate and needs government's attention but still that sacred place has as young soul as many other places I have been to. The stream of fresh water in the hauz(ablution facility) making the wudu (ablution) experience very special in an open blue sky. The moment when I offered Namaz-e-Asar at Masjid Wazir Khan that was one of the most precious moment I have ever had in my life. I can still feel that peaceful voice of Azan in my ears. I would never forget the peace and serenity there in that moment. In the air. In the voice of Imam. In the atmosphere. In my heart. NEVER EVER!
