When you arrive to the airport, you find a small but cozy airport, where you can find a mix a big city and small, city, people try sell the trip to the Downton, but in a responsible the only could be found in small city… From de the airport to the hotel, could be something like 15- or 20-minutes top, everything cold be close. Tucuman, like many cities in Latin America, was made by Spain, so is normal you find the principal square (Plaza Independencia), the cathedral, the government house, everything in front the principal square. One bloc from there we have a Nacional Monument (Monumento Nacional). These historical houses is beautiful colonial style build in the 18 century. But if you think you could something about in the capital, I’m afraid these days is a Nacional holiday… For now, we have enough the city, and we are going to a small city in the mountain, named Tafi del Valle. By car, as we do it, it could be there like 2 hs., the route, the first part is a normal route, but the trick and special about the city is about 2.000 mts above sea level (6500 foot). The way up could be trick, if you have problems at heights, could be something you should be ready, but is probably nothing the a simple stop, and enjoy the view and take a couple of pictures could, or buy something in the shop could you feel better. Arriving a Tafi de Valle, we find a small, and charming city, where in many spot, we can see how the time stop in the middle in some past time…but at the same time we can see how in other spot the city is try to get out of stop in the time, and fight for be in the 21 century, with modern hotel, restaurant, modern houses… We stay in a beautiful small hotel (Hotel Wayna Killa), the views in the hotel take you breath away, form the room, or form anywhere, you have a spectacular viewed, where is impossible to not relax… At the restaurant you can enjoy, different regional dishes, empanadas, humitas, asado, local wine… We have a big surprise with the weather, in the morning cold be very cold 0 C to 10 C (32 F to 50 F), but the trick is, in the middle of the day cold be around 25 C (77 F), and the sun, lets said, you should hide from, in order to protect you self… Resume, we enjoy a couple of fantastic day in two charming city, where we can relax and enjoy the cities.
