There is so much more to Nevada than Las Vegas! One is Red Rock Canyon. The beautiful mountains are a vivacious red/orange. Where you can stop at different points to get great pictures and walk out close to the edge if you dare to see the canyons below! After you have had you're fill of the canyons take a drive around the local neighbourhood you may find some donkies getting their meal from the locals door and come right up to you as well. If you're not in to canyons you can go a while different direction and check out lake mead and the hoover dam. Stop in the souvenir shops for some unique gifts. Either make great family day and are both close enough if you wanted to visit the casinos or many great restaurants on the strip you wouldn't be far from the night life that Las Vegas is known for.
