The Czech Republic is a country located in the Eastern part of Europe. Prague is the headquarters; a city full of life and adventure. Visiting Prague in Winter and Summer has a different natural flavor on its own. However, my favorite season is Spring. During this time in Prague, the naturally blooming flowers envelop the entire city which makes it so beautiful. The streets, parks and gardens are nicely decorated with flowers that give a cozy atmosphere prompting one to venture on a sightseeing trip. However, one can enjoy the beautiful springtime weather by watching the fountain rise and fall, reading a book, walking a dog, exercising, going for a short walk with a group of people in a nearby park. In winter, participating in activities such as; ice skating, watching famous ice hockey tournaments, visiting Christmas outdoor markets, National museum, wine tasting events and window shopping for new winter collections are good deals. NewYorker, C&A, H&M, Zara and a few other brands usually come up with unique designer clothes which are sometimes at a discount too . Despite the snowy winter, one can build a snowman with a carrot nose and enjoy a hot chocolate drink indoors. The Czech Republic is popularly known for its touristic attraction due to the number of places for sightseeing, breweries, food and art exhibitions. Another thing tourists can find interesting is the Czech traditional cuisine. The most introduced one is, "Knedlicky ve Brambory", known in English as Czech dumplings. This is a special meal made of meat sauce and dumplings, it tastes better with a glass of beer or a red/white wine. The Czech Republic is famous for its many breweries, " Pivovar" in Czech. However, most breweries are found in the sub-urban regions of the country. It’s amazing how a bottle of beer could be cheaper than that of water, yet locals drink responsibly. A beer in Czech is called "Pivo". Famous brands of beer in the country include; Pilsner Urquell, Staropramen, Kozel and many more. If you are in Prague, it is necessary to visit the following places; The Charles bridge, Astronomical clock, Prague castle, Infant Jesus of Prague. The nightlife in Prague is great too, as there are lots of activities one can engage in such as clubbing, seeing a movie at the cinema, going for karaoke, live musical concerts. The great transportation system makes it easy to commute from one place to another. Imagine travelling by bus, connecting with an underground metro and alighting at your favorite spot by tram. The access to these different types of transport enable tourists to have an extensive view of the city. It is good to know that transport runs until late hours at night. In conclusion, the locals find it intriguing when tourists try to say something to them in Czech language. For example, knowing words like; "Dobry den" Good day in English, "Dejkuju" Thank You and "Nashkladano" meaning Goodbye in English are useful tips to strike a conversation with anyone or a waiter in a restaurant. Expats.cz is an English website containing all activities in the country. It is advisable to visit the Expats.cz as a tourist for current news and interesting events in Prague during your visit.
