You may spend a whole life travelling around the world just to find out the real magic in your home land. I had discovered beautiful places in thousand of countries, lived in different time zones and met great friends speaking different languages, but it was not until I went to Patagonia that I knew the real beauty of nature. This trip was born as an adventure since my partner and I decided to ignore flight tickets and took the motorbike. We packed some clothes, put on our helmets (safety first) and we started our one-day-long travel to Bariloche. Even though our destination was the most amazing experience of my life, our way to it worthed every kilometer (and every T-shirt that I could not pack). In just one day, I visited so many small towns with a few houses and no supermarket at all. Villages hidden in the mountain where villagers knew each others name and were willing to show me those breathtaking corners that only locals know. It was a positive surprise to see how as further you get from the city and the busy life, the closer you get to people's kindnesss. At the end, we arrived to Bariloche in a sunny morning. Although it was summer, the fresh air of the pines surrounding the city made us wear a light jacket that ended up in my bag as soon as I started wandering into the forest. I could describe the lanscape and talk about the peaceful silence, the sounds of birds or the fresh aroma of pines, and that would be enough. But what made me fall in love was the magic of living in a fairy tale for twenty days, was the possibility of hugging an Arayane tree which it is said to refill your energy, was being in the middle of the city center and yet feeling like I was in the middle of the forest. Finally, when I though that I had lived all the wonderful experiences that the south of Argentina had for me, I discovered the Road of the Seven Lakes. We drove a long a road that led us to seven forest with seven lakes. Who said that water does not have colour? Obviously, that person never went to Patagonia. Lácar, Machónico, Falkner, Villarino, Escondido, Correntoso, Espejo and Nahuel Huapí lakes display different shades of blue, all of them shinny and fresh. All lakes, all the same, and yet so different and so wonderful. So simple and so special. After twenty days, Patagonia taught me to wander around without destination to find the real trasures, to open my eyes and enjoy the little things, to appreciate the differences and listen to the silence. After all, Patagonia taught me....to live?
