On 15th June, 2015 after my senior high school, I decided to travel and spend some time with my senior Brother in Ivory Coast. So I started the journey around 8am in the morning but then I wasn't having a passport so I carried with me all the needed cards the immigration officers will demand and also the mode of transportation is by vehicle. But my student ID has left with some few months to expire so I was thinking of how I will return to continue my tertiary education if I'm allowed into the country because of the student ID. I started the journey and it was awesome because I haven't gotten to the border yet, but when we were about 1 kilometer away I started panting and also became worried that I will be asked by the immigration officers to return back to my country. So when I got to the Ghana border and because the student ID was valid they allowed me to pass through safely but when I got to the border of Ivory Coast, they asked me to go for vaccination then after the vaccination they tried to interview me to find out what is exactly taking me there. So I answered in English because I wasn't that fluent in French then they kept me at the Ivory Coast border till the next day. The border stops operating when is 5pm. So comparing the time I started the journey till the time border will close was enough for me to cross the border if there the required documents are presented. I slept in mosquitoes and was very hungry and also didn't know what to eat because I wasn't 18 years till the following day. So the next day I spoke to them very well and they allowed me through but I was thinking that was all but it wasn't. On our way we met another barrier where the security personnel asked the passengers to bring out every document. I was quite because I had nothing to show apart from the student ID. So when it got to my trun, they asked me to get down and they asked me why I'm I not with a passport but with student ID which is about to expire in some few months. Because of that the driver was asked to carry on the journey without me and was fined. I had no option then to sleep at the barrier till the next day after paying the fine before I was allowed to carry in the journey which resulted to malaria because I was seeing some symptoms of it. Then I finally got to Abijan and I went home safely but the symptoms became so obvious so I was taken to the hospital for treatment then immediately I return from Ivory Coast after staying there for 3 months, I applied for a passport to relief me of any stress and other things too as well.
