Traveling to the places brings an unforgettable experience which makes life full of joyful memories. I always used to travel for new adventures and experience a new culture, food and people’s living style. Spending quality time in multi-cultural areas always encourages me to travel more and explore the people that I never meet before. During my last year semester vacation, I planned to visit some old historical places. So, I along with my friends decided to visit a famous village of Tharparkar district named Nagarparkar which is famous for its diverse culture, historical temples, and Karunjhar mountain known as the beauty of Tharpakar. As we begin our journey to Nagarparkar, we booked a guest house for three days stay. On the day of arrival, I met local person of Nagarparkar named Rajesh- an owner of small diary shop who was so friendly that he offered us to stay at his home as long as we were there. We could not resist and accepted his warm invitation. On the first day at Nagarparkar, we intended to visit old holy places first like Viravah Temples which were founded in 456 CE. The area is near the ruins of the ancient seaport of Parinagar on the edge of the Ramm of Kutch. Later, we visited the Gori temple which was located at the northwest of the Viravah temple which is well-known for the interior architectural design with finely carved marble pillars. The entrance canopy of the temples was decorated with these marbles which represents Jain mythology. The temple was built in 1375-1376 CE by Mughal rulers of that era. Along with that different temples of Nagarparkar like Bhodesar temple, Bhodesar mosque and Nagarparkar bazaar temple were incredibly designed that attracts every tourists who come to visit these beautiful places. Moreover, the calligraphy of the walls makes an unforgettable experience for everyone. After the whole day of the visit, Rajesh took us to his home and prepared traditional food for us presented in the handmade crockery. After taking dinner, we sat under the open sky and enjoyed stargazing at midnight. This experience was one of the best moments of my life. The next day Rajesh suggested us to visit the honor of Tharpakr, the Karoonjhar mountain. The mountain range is 19 km in length and attains the height of 305m. it took us 3 hours to climb the hill. At the summit of Karoonjhar, the border of India was clearly visible. The view from the hills was breathtakingly beautiful during the evening. Later, we sat down on the rocky hills and spent the whole evening watching the awe-inspiring view from the top of the hills. This incredible experience was beyond my expectations. As the sun began to set, we started moving towards the huts. As soon as we reached there, we saw some peacocks dancing and playing around in the field. On the final day of our trip, the local people of the village arranged a small farewell party where they represented their culture through folk songs and traditional dance. The best experience of my trip was meeting local people of this village. They were so loving and caring and showed great hospitality. Although they were not educated but their behavior towards their guests was so courteous and magnanimous. They believe that those people are the luckiest ones whom a guest pays visit. This was an unforgettable trip I ever had in my life.
