Aftermath of Surgery before Traveling

A leap into the unknown Dominican Republic

Summer of 2019, my family and I took an amazing cruise trip to the Dominican Republic for my college graduation gift. We went to Amber Cove and Grand Turk. I can honestly say I enjoyed it because July11,2019 I had to have surgery again on my right foot and I was not sure exactly if I would be in a cast still during the time of the trip or if I would be able to walk kn a boot. Instead of rushing anything, I did everything that my doctor said and the Wednesday before my trip I went to my doctor appointment and my doctor took the cast off and put me in a boot. That was my luckiest day because during my trip I got the opportunity to go to the Rum factory and sample different types of Rum and I also got the opportunity to do what I love the most; which was riding horses on the beach. It made my summer because after sitting at home all day everyday recovering, I was able to actually enjoy one major trip that I was ready to go on. It was the highlight of my summer. I enjoyed some amazing different foods on and off the ship. I can honestly say that I cannot wait to go back. Next time I will do an excursion and swim with the dolphins. I believe that this trip was the best one yet because even though something misfortunate happened before the trip, something even greater occurred and I cannot help but to be thankful because it could have been worse and I could have still been in a cast during the whole trip. It was nothing but God. By the grace of God I am fully healed and a born again saviour because I decided to give my life to Christ on March 1, 2020. New beginnings and new blessings are going to come my way within the next couple of months and I can feel it.
