I am a native of Andhra Pradesh where Telugu is the local language. On dec. 22, 2019 after a workshop at Chennai I had few days off holiday, suddenly I felt like why not go to Kerala which is often referred as 'God's own place'. Many thoughts came into my mind after that like I dunno anyone over there and I don't even know how to speak nor understand Malayalam etc. But I didn't wanna think about the difficulties even before going there. So I started my journey to Kerala on 22 night. I arrived in Thrissur at 4 in the morning then I stayed for two hours at the nearby hotel I have booked for five days because its the centre to travel to many places in Kerala. I overslept on the first day as I haven't had a good nap for last three days before that because of the workshop, I woke up at 11 in the morning and after having a bath I got ready. And then my journey to Kerala began, I started with the Queen of Arabian sea, Kochi, I arrived to Kochi by train at 2 in the afternoon. Then I took metro to Lulu mall which is quite big and roamed arounf the place. As it was Christmas eve, I enjoyed the celebrations there and then I started to Kochi port which is an hour from the mall, but due to strikes going on at Kerala it took me around two hours to reach but I made it in time for the beautiful sunset. And then I got back to Thrissur. Thus my first day came to an end and the funniest part was I don't even know the numbers in Malayalam, and I never asked them the numbers in English because I wanted to get used to it, so every time I used to give more money and got a lot of change by the end of the day. On the next day I started to Athirapally waterfalls which was really awesome. The beauty of the place can't be explained in a sentence and the sunset there was surreal. Second day was really pleasant and I started to understand the numbers in Malayalam now. On the third day I started to Alapuzha commonly known as Alleppey which famous for its back water. The most amusing thing I found there was boat stations where the boats are the major means of transport to other nearby cities. Without wasting much of my time I just boarded Kottayam boat, and the best part is I didn't even know that the boat goes to Kottayam, I just wanted to enjoy my trip. Really that was an awesome trip and I have taken a lot of pics which I'll treasure for the rest of my life. And this was on Christmas Eve so I got lot of fruits, snacks anger free dinner. On the final day at Thrissur I went to Chavakadu Beach where I climbed a light house from which one can have a bird eye view of the place, I think while explaining you might feel the beauty of the place. Once I climbed the light house I found the real beauty of Kerala, One side you can see water but nothing else and on the other side you can see coconut trees but nothing else and a road and the shore which divides both of them. They sunset view there was really great. Later I traveled back to my room where I packed my luggage and started to Thiruvananthapuram, capital of Kerala and on the next day I traveled to Munnar. Both of they cities are really mesmerizing which can't be explained in 80words so I am just skipping this part for our next episode.
