Bali: where repeating reveals the mystery.

I truly said that: " this world was big enough to repeat places"... said, in past tense. It is amazing how a "truth", a life-long belief of yours can be dismantled for the better and forever. And that happened to me in only a minute!. That day at the end of December 2012, as long as I walked down from that boat coming from Java I put my feet on a very special land which seemed to me a kind of a long awaited gift under the name of an offering: Bali. It is still hard to explain the feelings I had in that moment. I felt a sudden energy boost, and my mind and senses were completely blown away: the breeze full of incense, spices and flowers smell, the ageless and mysterious stone statues, the exotic greenery of the rice fields and the locals welcoming warm, accomplice and enigmatic smile gave me a surprise welcome... - Never say never- I told myself. -Is this real? - This place is like no other on earth but why do I feel this is not my first time and nor the last? Am I dreaming? why do I feel everything I have done was meant to bring me here? am I finally at home? I still asked myself the same questions eight years later while I visited the island for the second time in 2019... and definetely i am getting closer! Nowadays my beliefs about travelling have changed way too much. After I had travelled and lived twice in Indonesia which I consider as my "soul home" my travel quote now is: "The world is not big enough when you have a special bond with a place you crave to repeat". Maybe the answer is that repeating will show your mastery but whatever the reasons are i am happy to be chosen by Bali. I hope that repeating reveal the mystery.
