After the death of a family member and having to move out of the state. I found myself in a situation of being lost and my life a mess, I was fortunate enough to have a friend offer me an opportunity I couldn't pass up. I loaded up two bags and my dog's in his semi truck and traveled with him across parts of the United States that I never knew were so beautiful. Growing up in Michigan was great with the season changes, the beautiful reds, oranges, yellows and browns in the fall. Then moving to Florida for several years had gotten my urge to travel going again and even more so while on my friend's truck. Waking up to see six elk in a truck stop parking lot is amazing and the people that you meet. Hearing their stories about the city or town you are in and trying local foods. Honestly when you are given this kind of opportunity you need to take it. Seeing the Rockies, elk, the golden gate bridge, Alcatraz, the Mississippi river and the little farmer's stands on the side of roads help's to see different ways of life, talking to people gives you a different perspective on how people live and see the world. I am grateful for the gifts in my life along with the friendship 's I have made and hopefully I will be able to share my gifts, views, dreams and experiences with other's.
