Before I leave this world

A leap into the unknown Australia

I was thought I was not built to stay in the same place for too long. I mean yes, I spent most of my life in my hometown at the northeastern region of Brazil. However, from very young I could identify something very special every time I visited a new place. It was like a whole new version of myself could emerge, intrinsically, independently of everything that my personality new. The connections, tastes, aromas and culture could transform and present so many new perspectives that couldn’t be repeated anywhere else. A few years back I have decided to make a big big change, not only geographically but also of a new Lisi. I moved to Australia with the core intention of learning, specifically about sustainability in the built environment. Australia has given me so far much more than what my masters degree could accomplish. It gave me new eyes and, not surprisingly, new perspectives. I am still here, after 5 years, living and learning about who I am in this beautiful country. But something that have grown inside of me is the idea of how many other Lisi’s I can find if I keep searching. There are just so many places I can see before I leave this world. The excitement of a next leap makes me think that I should be boarding on a inner discovery journey again, and again, and again. Connecting, sharing and bringing stories to people all around the world seems like what I was made for. Who would you like to be before you leave this world?
