I belong to Fatehjang (Tehsil of Attock in Punjab Province), where Bull Racing is a local sport where large number of people (farmers and wealthy people of the area) built up their bulls and participate in bull races arranged by the well known wealthy people of the areas. Poor Farmers normally feed their bulls with every best possible way (though they are normally hand to mouth economically) and take care of their bulls like their children. And on the way to the bull racing place, they mostly had to travel different parts of the Province by hiring trucks. If the bull win some position, the owner may able to sell it costly (some times in half of million, one million and some times more then this). My uncles also have some racing bulls and I also use to travel with them. Many times I traveled beyond our District and had many chances to see other areas of our countries. Once we were in a tour of bull racing to Mirpure (AJK disputed area). We were checked many times by the police for verification. They were again and again asking about bulls that why we are traveling with them. We were suppose to reached there between 12pm to 2 ok but because of almost half a dozen verifications, we reached there at 4pm when the race was about to end. The bull race is more a kind of car really where pairs of bulls suppose to run in a created line (almost 10 feet in width and 250-300 meters in length). On ending and starting points, men used to wave the flags for the judges(jury) and they records the time on stopwatches. At the end of the race, jury announces the positions Which normally veries in points (not even in seconds). On the said day, our pair of bulls won 3rd position although they were very tired of traveling. We were very happy. But there was another drama waiting for us while we were traveling back to home. The duty time was changed and on every check posts, we had again verification sessions. We reached home very late, almost midnight. We tired like hell and decided never to visit AJK again.
