This is Shahinur Islam, a born citizen of Bangladesh, who has managed to move in many countries for academic purposes. Today, I will be talking about one of the travel stories when I was in the back home what will connect the dot for becoming a world wanderer. So, I grew up in a poor fisherman family at a small village in the southwestern part of Bangladesh. Albeit, from childhood, I had a passion to travel to the other coast in our country to see the sea and mountains, but never had a chance until I enrolled in University for BSc. While I was at University, from my scholarship, I saved some money and made a trip to south coast (Cox's Bazar, longest sea beach in the world). It was like a dream that for the first time in my life, I was touching sands from the beach. I felt like if I could count all the sands from the beach. Every night, I was sitting at the beach and listening to the sounds of wave what is the most favorite in my life! Then, I went up further south to hit three mountainous districts to do backpacking. It was one of the memorable travel I have had in my life. It opened my eyes to see the beauty of whole world! After finishing my BSc in 2010, I came to Europe for higher studies with a scholarship by the European Union. While I was studying in France, Spain, and Belgium, I was traveling a lot to those countries and many other European countries. Nature, culture, and food were amazing throughout the Mediterranean! I am currently doing my Ph.D. study at Memorial University in Newfoundland (Canada). Last four years, I fell in love with this beautiful island and the whole east coast! Besides my researches, I have managed to travel in the whole maritime zone in Canada, did hike whole east coast trails along the way of the Atlantic Ocean. I am finishing my Ph.D. in this winter and would like to travel the world for a bit before starting a career in Academia (Post-doc). And, obviously, the Caribbean is one my bucket lists! The beauty of the Caribbean tropical island is simply stunning! I like to surf and dive! What else could be the best to go to the Caribbean right after my graduation! that would be the best graduation treat could ever have! But, life is quite expensive on the Caribbean island. As a student, it's quite impossible for me to bear all these costs. It would be great if I get this writing scholarship and get a chance to travel in the Caribbean! I hope you will consider my application! The statement I provided here is completely true! Regards, Shahinur Islam
