A leap into the unknown Ukraine

Hi. I am 22 and have visited 11 countries already. Some might say that this is not so much, but I pay for all my trips myself. Lately, I've been paying less attention to planning. My travels began to be spontaneous. One of these happened in September last year. I was too tired to work, the last semester of study was approaching, I broke up with a girl and I came up with nothing better than to go abroad for a few days. After 30 minutes I bought a plane ticket, urgently issued insurance and the next day I drove to the airport. I chose Dortmund for the trip. I do not know why, but as it turned out, did not lose. Already sitting at the airport, I decided to look at the map and know which city was next to Dortmund? That's right, Amsterdam) After passing all the controls, I remembered that I had nowhere to live and no car to drive. Thank you, the Internet and Steve Jobs for the fast solution of my problem. Honestly, this was my first rental car. It was scary, but interesting. Arriving in Dortmund, I approached the counter to pick up the car and for good reason I was afraid of the unknown. First, I wrote the name in Ukrainian, not English. Secondly, the credit card should have 300 euros for the deposit. In short, I spent more than two hours picking up the car, but happiness was off the limits. I have never rented a car either at home or abroad. I have never driven a car abroad. I liked it so much that in three days I traveled over 1000 kilometers. Even after I stayed at the hostel, I got into my car and just rode the city late into the night. Turned on the music, turned off the phone and enjoyed life. I painted this picture so often in my head that I decided to do my best to make this dream come true. And you know? I was happy. The next day, I woke up at 6am to maximize my time in Amsterdam. I was sitting in the lobby of the hostel, downloading maps and at the border between Germany and the Netherlands I saw a zoo in the old house. A leap into the unknown. I was very glad that I adjusted my route and stopped in the village. Everything there looked like a picture. I saw such kind of zoo for the first time. There was much more space for animals than for humans. It may seem strange to you, but visit the Ukrainian zoo and get scared. Inspired by the village, I decided to stop in every beautiful village or town on the way. Utrecht was one of them. The city is 35 kilometers from Amsterdam. It is cute and quiet, clean and incredibly beautiful. But be warned, it is better to leave the car in the parking lot because the streets are too narrow. As it turned out recently, I exceeded the speed in Utrecht by only 4 km/h and I was fined from the Netherlands. Right into my inbox. Amsterdam. If you were there, I wouldn't even say anything. If not, I envy you. You have the opportunity to be there for the first time. A city of freedom, open thoughts; a city that is filled with the desire to live. I never slept in a car and Amsterdam helped me to fix this situation. One night in Amsterdam is worth the hot trip to Turkey, so I decided to spend it in the car. Spoiler: very uncomfortable. But the next morning I went to the North Sea and used to swim for the first time in a year. You will never enjoy life if you are at home, if you are afraid of the unknown. Travel, discover the world and create memories.
