Dancing with Whales in Tonga

A leap into the unknown Tonga

My name is Lisa Linhares. All I do is dream about where to next. I love going on crazy trips doing cool activities. When I was 14 I travelled alone to Chile to go snowboarding in the mountains. When I was 15 I travelled alone to Fiji to go swimming in caves, swimming with sharks and just do fun adventurous activities. I’ve been to many places as well with my family but I find travelling alone is the best kind. You learn a lot about yourself, your interests and independence. Now I am 30 and this summer I am travelling to Tonga alone... To swim with humpback whales as they migrate through the Kingdom of Tonga. A life long dream I’ve been saving up for since two years ago. I am extremely scared of sharks, regardless of swimming with them, therefore the ocean itself just gives me so much adrenaline just like a drug. I can’t wait for the adventures I will do in Tonga this summer and would love to share my travel experiences with the world. On top of this all, I am a student in college, so writing a travel blog would be amazing to help inspire other students to travel too as I would love to help give saving money tips and travel tips for individuals. I want to share my story with others so they can do great things as well.
