A leap into the unknown Canada

My travel story begins through completely putting myself outside my comfort zone. I had just graduated university and previously worked almost ten years as a personal support worker. I felt completely burnt out mentally, emotionally and physically. I had previously done some travelling and thought, this is the time now to do it. So I decided to pack up my life and move across the world (literally) to Australia. Now I have always dealt with anxiety my whole life, so for me this really didn't seem in reach of what was possible. I sold almost everything I had and pack up for a new life across the big wide oceans. I never expected to meet lifelong friends, meet my current partner (who is australian), and go on a big personal development journey. Travelling has helped me gain confidence in who I am, has helped me gain insight in navigating my own world and most important become more open strangers on a deeper level (living with fourteen people will do that). I truly have a passion for travelling and I also love writing, so why not put the to together and make some magical memories of my own journey. One thing I really want to highlight is that I want people to know that these options are available to anyone. If I can leave my old life behind and move across the world, I believe anyone who truly wants to make that move can. I also believe that having been privileged enough to be even consider travelling is something I will forever be grateful for. Travelling has change my life in so many ways. I am much more confident today than I have ever been and I truly believe if I didn't take that chance, I would be still stuck in the same spot I was before I left. Thank you for taking time to read this and I do hope you consider me as a candidate.
