First, a little introduction about me and what travel means to me... My name is Cyntia, I am Brazilian and I am truly passionate to be the best version of me. And one of life experiences that I can explore and brings this sensation for myself is to travel because it represents for me an opportunity to discover the new, living new experiences, knowing new people, culture and places! And I believe strongly that it represents a new way to see the life, it brings new perspectives about the world, the diverse world that we couldn't imagine living only in our own world. It was 2018 and I was simply exhaust to want to travel and don´t have a friend that want to do it with me, or because people couldn’t on that dates or people don’t have money to travel… So finally, I decided to do my first trip totally alone! Wow! I had a lot of butterflies in the stomach at that moment but it was the unique option for that dilemma! And how I really like an adventure, I choose a trip to a continent that I had never visited before: the first Eurotrip in my life! I will tell you about the city that I loved and where I lived a lot of crazy adventures. Could you guess? It was Amsterdam! Yeah!!! I loved this place! I arrived there too early, coming by bus from Paris and it was raining…. The first challenge that I faced was to buy the train ticket to arrive at the hostel. But it was not so hard after picking the line and saw other people buying these tickets. Of course, when its’s your turn nothing works but I got it! Luckly, I booked a hostel near center and it was easy to find. But could you imagine… arriving alone in a totally unknown city in a rainy day? It was about 6 AM, so nobody at the street too. In this city, I have a lot of new experiences: falling in love with that beautiful channels, admiring the architecture, do a walking tour with other people that I have never seen before and in this walking tour, I knew a girl that was only doing a stopover in the city and after the tour, we started to explore the city together. With her I had the opportunity to knew the truly Amsterdam and go to a coffee shop (serious, I wouldn’t go there alone). It was very funny!! In other days, I could explore the city by boat, have the Heineken experience in my birthday and enjoy my own company in this day! It was amazing!!! And about the Red-Light District? I imagine that I wouldn’t be able to visit there alone but after stayed there during the walking tour, I felt encouraged to go again to visit the touristic place and it represented a different experience in my trip, for sure! Other thing that I am really passionate is the sunset. Actually, it’s the sun! But since usually I am not waked up on sunrise, I usually contemplate the sunset and I love do it! There, I could see the sunset in a lot of places: at the channels, inside the boat and in my last day, I went to a hotel (that I had searched about) to contemplate my last sunset in that city. It was really good. After this amazing experience, I finally decided to enjoy my own company in a pub to have fun in my last night there. It was the other new experience in my life: going to a bar totally alone. And It was very fun because I knew new people there and I really didn’t satay alone. One detail: I would take my next flight at 3 AM. Conclusion: I stayed in the pub until the time to go back to the hostel, take a quickly shower and go to the airport. Wow! What adventure! And at the end of this trip, I felt much more self-confident, empowered and I can affirm for sure that I was transformed in an adventure woman that I couldn’t imagine that I was capable to be.
