A leap into the unknown Ireland

Three years ago, I lived in Dublin where I got the guts to experience the biggest bliss and challenge in my life. Everything began by a modest walk in Dublin's outskirts, the Wicklow Mountains. The evening was getting to an end and me and my companions, a Bulgarian and a Czech, decided not to return home that same day. "Why don't we sleep here for this night?" I suggested with enthusiasm. We reflected about the matter as if the most important political meeting was. We deliberated the pros so as the cons. And so, it was. We agreed to execute the new-born plan and kip in the mountain camping wild. Nothing was planned of eve. All idealized at the time. Was darkening and our first goal was to locate a decent area in the mountain to light the bonfire. And so, we went, walked, walked... walked until the best roominess was detected. We passed through difficult paths, sighted dear bolting through the mountain in, came across with a few skeletons (dear supposedly). Yet we did not give up. We generated a fire pit, Bear Grill's style. The toughest moments were, without doubt, to step into the pine trees to seek for firewood. By the endeavour but not only. Early on our mobile phone’s batteries ran out. Not having another light source, it was complicate getting orientated. Only, we were still going. All the effort to keep the blaze alight. So, we accomplished. The only alternative was freezing with the cold that was settling on. We, without a sleeping bed, tent or blanket to keep us warm. Just jackets. Nothing was sighted besides the stars during the night. And nothing was heard apart from the logs burning. I feel nostalgic when I remember that special night. At dawn, we waked with a dazzling sunrise. And with a good mood that was upon us we decided not to comeback by train to the city but walk the 40 kilometres that separated us from Dublin. And so, we did. At home arrival I never appreciated so much a good bath and a bed. Yet I would repeat the unbelievable experience. Without a doubt. Was unique.
