When all that you want at the end of the year, after a hard semester, giving classes, dealing with parents and many changes at work, is a break from everything. This break was an unexpected travel with one of my best friends in 2018, we have discussed about the possibility of traveling somewhere after our last day of work, just a detail, that year we had just given our resignation and we didn't have any idea what we would do next year. Our idea had started very humble, we have talked about going to the beach or to another state, however we became ambitious. Why couldn't we travel to another country? As soon as we made our minds, we started searching for possible places, I had the idea to go to Santiago, in Chile, a common place known by many tourists. My friend on the other hand, told me about "The end of the world", I had no idea where this land was and if existed, it passed through my mind that he was joking with me. I researched it, and to my surprise this place really existed and it was in Argentina! It is considered the southernmost city in the world, capital of Tierra del Fuego, Antártida e Islas del Atlántico Sur Province, in Argentina. I didn't know anything about this city but the title "End of the world" called my attention, and in less than a week we had the AirBnb and tickets. Excited and anxious, and let me be frankly, a little scared, because neither one of us speak Spanish, and my friend didn't have any experience abroad. Our countdown started the moment we pressed the AGREE buttom on our tickets payment. Oh my God! We were going to Argentina, and not only that, we were going to the End of the world! In 8 days that we stayed in this little city, we climbed, practiced tracking, drank in an icebar, saw penguins very close, painted white walls with wine(we had a little accident while opening a bottle without an opener), tried many different meals, traveled by ship and count only on ourselves to make decisions without judgements. What an experience, my breath was taken away since the moment I had seen the Martial mountains and felt the cold wind on my face, it literally took my breath away, the day we arrived was very windy and I almost lost my scarf. This travel was one of the best of my life, I have learned and experienced what it is to just enjoy the moment and try everything just because I can. This feeling of freedom is adicting, and we already have in mind our next adventure: an exchange program to New Zealand!
