At first, i plan to spend holiday at Singapore and KL, but i think travel along Sumatera with public transportation would be cheaper than fly to Jakarta from KL, but one think that didnt calculated is the wilderness of that journey. I begin travel from northern part of Sumatera, Aceh. Ones of richest culture province in Indonesia. I visit the "0 kilometre monument" at Sabang Island. I also taste "Aceh's noodle" and "sanger coffee", noodle and coffee origins from Aceh. I think Aceh have strong bound with India, because the dish, the culture, and the race have so much similiarity. I felt so happy there, and suddenly bad thing happen. I almost have no money left in my wallet, and my bank services shuted down nationally because of error. My other bank account cant work because its.blocked added the worst part from this journey. But i feel gratefull when i can meet a friend who work at there. I wait till night until my bank service become normal and i can continue travel to next city, Medan. Touched Medan at morning by very comfy bus (no old and broken bus from Aceh fyi), i have to find breakfast, and my choice is durian hahaha. Ucok's durian is famous in Indonesia and fortunately i can taste it. After that i visit Maimon Palace, the old empire in Medan. Traditional palace look beautiful and well maintaned. Actually i visit Medan because i want to go to Lake Toba. I go there by bus and arrive at late noon. I go to Tomok Village at Samosir Island, in the middle of Lake Toba by ferry. We can see traditional dance "Tor-tor" and buy traditional fabric called "ulos" at there. We can also read the history of batak tribe, indigenous people from North Sumatera. After enjoying Lake Toba, i have find bus to get the next city, Padang. The next part coming, i have to wait the bus for almost 6 hours, and i finally i catch last bus at 10pm. When i came in Padang, i plan to visit Harau Valley, but one think i dont know is, it located in next city, Payakumbuh. I have to enter the crowded little bus to get there, alongside me is mothers with groceries from market, a chainsmoker, and kids from school, can u imagine? Finally i came to Harau Valley, the freshness and wind blow slowly can heal me spontaneously from previos tirelessly trip. I go back to Padang after that, because the bus to Lampung only went from there. I try original "nasi padang" at Padang, famous dish from there and can easily find in entire country. The bus scheduled at 8pm, but it slowly appear at 2 am, how frustrating is that? The bad thing didnt stop there, i cant find seat inside and i have to sit beside the driver, and the transmission is right between my leg. After more than 1 day full trip from Padang to Lampung, i can finally get out from the old-broken-rusty bus. No place i visited at Lampung, i just want to go back to Jakarta ASAP. Actually there is Elephant sanctuary at Lampung, but i feel desperate to going home after 10 days jorney from Singapore to Lampung. And one of best part of journey happen abroad. Sail in late noon i can see beautiful sunset in the middle of the sea, with sea breeze calm me down and the warm bound from another family make me thankfull that finally i can finish one of my crazy trip in my life. Im gonna remember it for my life time, but when i ask to do it again, i think i have to consider carefully hahahaha.
