There are places that have the power to generate magic within you, that are capable of creating a sense of transcendence and in that moment you realize we were created for something greater than just working, eating and sleeping. There were a few moments in my life were I felt I was tasting a little bit of heaven, and Baccalar was definitely the place where my heart stopped and my mind blew at the magnificence of such an espectacular sight. Baccalar is a beautiful located magical place in Quintana Roo, north of Chetumal, with a spectacular lagoon called “La laguna de los 7 colores” its natural beauty holds incredible treasures like ancient organisms, if I could put it in a word I would call it Paradise. You must think I´m delusional, but what I experienced in that place was beyond words, on the very first moment I put my foot on the boat and started the trip to the lagoon, the greatness of the nature and the creation held me captive, and I discover the greatness of the creator who has made such views, and in that moment the feeling of transcendence becomes greater in my heart, I don´t know if they were the colors of the light green and turquoise blue lagoon, and the soft sand that with the touch you could feel that your foot was standing on the cotton, and once you were getting depper not only you get amazed by the clear and intense colors of the amazing landscape view, but you could also saw the great diversity in the vegetation, and if you had the chance of inmerse yourself on the clear water you could even see the alive looking colors and shells that could decorate the most luxurious house in the world, but however its not allowed to take anything back home, but i do think that that’s the beauty of it all, that stays deep inside you. There are places that change your mind and give you a sense of purpose and Baccalar is definitely one.
