Spiti valley!!!! vow the name itself makes me feel nostalgic . What a trip it was .before i tell you my experience I urge everone once in lifetime do visit this heaven on earth and once you visit it you would come to know why I urge everyone to visit this place . Spiti the valley in himachal pradesh is one of less explored places in India but now with increasing mouth of word the amount of tourists visiting the valley is increasing year by year . I still remember we were planning to go for a trek in the month of June but since June is month where rainy season sets in it was very hard to find any trek for the month. While surfing for the same i came across this site Spiti valley and immediately had discussion with my friends regarding this and we decided to book the trip. So we started our journey from Pune to Manali since the tour incluhded the pick up and drop from manali to Manali . Finally the day arrived we reached Manali in the afternoon we took rest that day since next day our journey to valley was beginning. 5 am sharp our driver chang arrived and we wer set to leave . The trail is through rhotang pass and i takes nearly 8 hours from manali to reach the capital of Spiti Kaza . Believe you aas soon as the journey started the roads the nature the landscape just vowww i can still remember those wonderful moments . Spiti being a rainfall shadow area there is 6 months of snowfall and 6 months the land is barren.i had never seen such opposite side of Himalayas since i had done many treks . Black cold deserted Himalayan mountains and on the route every 15 minutes the landscape would change it was blissful to watch it . Finally we raaeched Kaza . Since it is at an altitude of 16000 feet for some it takes time to aclimatize in the conditions but with proper rest one is fine again . We visted the monastery , chandrapal lake, we also stayed at local people's homestay , had the local cuisine , played the local games . We visited the highest post office which is present in Spiti valley . We understood about how people earn their living .we came to know that during the 6 months of heavy snowfall the old-age people leave the valley and go to cities to be safe from extreme and harsh cold weather . The rest 6 months they collect fruits vegetables , they collect wood logs ..These people always have a smile on their face , they are away from competition social media they know they are here to enjoy each other's company which makes one happy . In short this journey taught me many new things it was a life changing trip for me and i would never ever forget this place .soon i wish to travel to valley again and relieve the memories once again . I hope sooner or later I wish to hear a story from you alll about the valley . Spiti valley u beauty ..
