I always had the dream of surfing the best waves in the world, waves that nobody surfed, beaches that nobody went to. In Brazil this is relatively easy, we have a giant coastline but that was not enough, not for me and my best friend Tomaz. We surfed since we were 10 and at 18 we decided to take a trip, not just any one. to surf the waves that nobody surfed in Brazil. we traveled in a car, 2,000 kilometers, stopping at every beach that looked good. it felt like we were back 500 years and we were exploring that land again. it is not easy, one time you want to go home and see your parents, others you want someone to help you untie the car but the phone won't start. every night there are giant mosquitoes and people wanting to kill you like Indians, Tomaz doesn't like that comparison. But just like our discoverers, we found a lot of gold. Every day i woke up to a different sunrise and on beaches that almost nobody went to. Some we had to invade indigenous properties that had no contact with the white man, a place that was never surfed. Luckily we stayed a few hours in this place, we managed to escape quickly. On the way back, 4 months later, we were very tanned, 6 kilos thinner (I think that's good) and tomaz had a girlfriend in a city 600 km from our house.
