Since I was 5 years old, I constantly visit my grandmother's house during the holidays, located in a city in the inland of the state of Minas Gerais in Brazil, called Natércia, where my mother's relatives, my uncles, aunts, cousins also live, among other members. You can already imagine that small town "cliché", nature everywhere, sounds of birds and other animals, the smell of homemade food (mainly coffee and cheese bread), hospitable and willing people and meeting you and exchanging a curious and sincere. My most memorable memories, happy or not, were provided by this place, from my grandmother's humble residence to other parts of the city. Whenever I return, with every corner I pass, it is as if I have revisited my “I”, my construction as a human being, both cognitive and emotional. The people I meet the most when I'm there, obviously, my grandmother, a stubborn and funny person, a perfectionist, because she is a Virgo. My aunt, sincere and creative, loves to give her opinion. One of my cousins, and my godmother of consideration, who tells me the best stories with remarkable endings, as you can see, I grew up around great women. It was where I learned to ride a bike, to cook, to celebrate, the importance of valuing and caring for family and friendship, and also the short and precious moments, such as an exchange of eyes, a naive smile, an affectionate hug, I learned to unlearn and relearn. Among the infinite places I visited there, the best is the roads and trails, where there is constantly a sun to warm the soul and an adventure to be called yours, through fauna and flora, and especially in the stories of the residents, because you not only travel physically but also spiritually. From all my testimony you just read, did you understand the purpose of a trip? Regardless of where you go, you will deal with the new and unknown or the familiar and comfort zone, the most important thing is not to be afraid to face, to take risks, to understand the differences, to absorb something new, each trip is a construction and perfecting ideas and values, it is building a wiser “me” with this wonderful exchange of experiences.
