If it wasn't for my friend, I'd have emptied my account that very night. Before I get into the climax! Lets go back a little in time, from how it all started. My friend and I were supposed to do a case study for our projects in Goa, India. So the start itself wasn't a great one, because we almost missed the bus since at the last min, the travel agency thought it'd be fun to change the boarding location. We get into the bus and our journey towards the end begins. We were just relaxing ourselves to believe that nothing can go wrong now, can't it? We just dodged a bullet. It was a long tedious journey. But we made it! The land of beaches.. So we make way, to our rooms. My friend happened to book a flat online through an app. But when we searched for the location, it showed somwere close by. But now that we are in the taxi. We just take on rounds, as we cross the first beach. Am excited to feel the freshness of the sea and the welcoming sunrise. But as we circle again to the same beach. I don't think we both felt that welcoming anymore. After a little more of circling around we came back to a spot and got out. Here we met the owner, who then told us we were at the right spot all along. Yeah that didn't feel great. We still look at each other confused. He then shows us the way through what I'd like to call jungle. But if my friend was here would just say it's mere exaggeration. But, hey! Am being honest here. There were these large trees and shrubs, not grass I repeat Shrubs! Like what even and at end of it the apartment which looked like it could fall apart any moment now. As we took some more steps towards the ghostly looking creature. I realize that there is no trace of humans within that building! We were the only ones in that apartment and maybe there were some people in a flat above. Yeah.. The vibe didn't feel right and I was sure the Dooms day was near. SPOILER ALERT : Am alive and narrating this, right now. So we unpack. Unlike the appearance outside, the interior looked nice and warm. We freshened up and headed out to explore the beach side. The sand was soaking with wet feet and drying them out with the heat masked off by the sun. We went there without the intention of getting tanned but you got no choice but to get one. Slowly as the wind pulled us to watch the waves hit the shore, the day passed. While walking through the midst of the crowd that had surrounded to enjoy the same experience. We walk around aimlessly down the roads. New eyes set on us as we appear unfamiliar to the old faces. The colorful building almost stoked us in awe. Every building perfectly placed just for us to sit and admire. Even though with so many things surrounding me within my thought the building still had a voice that kept disturbing me. I was sure we would be late but the enter that building that late felt like a bad omen. Good moments only last so long. It was time for us to go back. To just make us last longer in peace. We looked at the jungle in front us to cross... No lights just darkness bestowed ahead of us. Before my friend could utter another I suggested we come back tomorrow. My friend gives me glare asking, what I had in mind? I smile and decide to spend the only money I had in a hotel. My friend just pulls my hand and drags me into the ghost house. Not before I could pick a stone for my defence. With a great amount of courage and hope to live. We survive the night. The next day, the owner is smiling and asking us of how are stay was. And I just stand there with a stone in my hand.
