Goa,a beautiful destination covered with so many beautiful beaches. Goa is a state on the southwestern coast of India. Its surrounded with Maharashtra to the North & karnataka to the east and south, with the beautiful Arabian sea in western coast.I always wanted to witness this beautiful destination. So, my journey from Bangalore to Goa started from Yeswanthpur Railway Station to vasco da gama Railway Station. Vasco da gama is one of the largest city. Bangalore to Goa distance is about 580.3km . I started my journey at 2.30pm and reached at 6 am. While travelling in day time, you can witness Dudhsagar falls also from your train. In goa, there is no online booking of cabs . Just local transports. If you're in budget then it be little expensive. So we headed towards our suites. We planned to stay in north goa. After around 2hours we checked in to our place La vida suites ,it is situated in Arpora .So we headed towards our suites. We planned to stay in north goa. After around 2hours we checked in to our place La vida suites ,it is situated in Arpora. Next morning, after amazing breakfast we got into our bike and headed towards Morjim beach . So, Morjim also known as " little Russia " it is situated near the chapora river bank. After that got into my swimsuit and enjoy the waves and beauty of nature. It is one of the less crowded beach in North Goa usually foreigners visit there. Then at the evening visited to chapora Fort located in Bardez, Goa besides chapora river. The fort was built by Adil shah therefore called shahpura later, portuguese named as chapora. The place got popularized after a Bollywood movie "Dil chahta hai" . Sunset was so much beautiful from Chapora Fort . The paranoid view of Vagator beach from Chapora was so amazing. Then remain in Vagator beach for some time. It was not so big but one of the beautiful beach though. Next day morning we headed towards South Goa. There we went to Basilica of Bom Jesus church, it is located in Old Goa. Portuguese gave the name Bom Jesus which means "holy Jesus" . It is one of the best Portuguese colonial architecture & baroque architecture in India. It is one of the seven wonders of Portuguese origin in world. It contains the body of St. Francis Xavier . First his body was in Portuguese Malacca later it is shipped back to Goa. We spend alot of good time inside the church and learned alot more about St. Francis Xavier ,about the church...it is one of the oldest & holy church in Goa. Then we went to Archaeological Museum and Portrait Gallery which is completely opposite to the church. It was setup in 1964 and runs by the Government Archaeological survey of India. It displays the Portuguese rule in Goa, the pre historic and early historic periods of Goa. There are many sculptures ,pillars, Portuguese weapons and other objects to see .Then after our lunch break we started our journey towards miramar beach. It is the beach of goan capital of Panjim. Its real name is 'porta de gasper dias' given by Portuguese . Its beautiful and not so crowded beach with crystal clear water. It is situated at the confluence of Arabian sea & Mandovi river. Then we headed towards Beautiful Fontainhus quarters is a old latin quarters in Panjim,Goa. Fontainhas' heritage ambience represents the traditional Portuguese influence in the area. Old villas with a projecting balcony paimted in pale yellow, red or Green. The place is founded by Antonio Joao de Sequeira. Here Portuguese is still used as a main language. Fontainhus has many beautiful restaurants with varieties of cruises like American, European, asian, etc. And shopping place for branded stuffs. Few small beautiful churches are also exists there. Next day we left Goa and headed towards hometown. Goa is a very good chilling place. I love the local and local food. If you visit Goa you must have sea food like crabs, lobsters, and some chilled beer Ofcourse. In Goa there is a famous beverage called kokkum mojito which is spell as kokkum mohito. It is made up of kokkum fruit syrup and good for digestion also.
