I didn't expect to find United Kingdom

This Christmas I have beein to London,since Christmas being the pioneer festival of the Britishers,I thought it would be a massive celebration with music and people partying along the street,the way we do it in India during Diwali or any other festival,but to my notice they celebrated it with harmony and poise,most of them like to be at home and celebrate the festival being at home with their family and close friends,since there are alot of discounts going all around the shopping places may it oxford street,shopping malls.Also they have small christams markets over many places admist of these the main attraction for the people is the Winter Wonderland.Everyone who stays in London has to visit Winter Wonderland,its kind of an yearly ritual to them.Winter Wonderland is an amusement centre constructed especially during the days of Christmas close to Hyde park where they have games for kids,merry go round,swings,shopping stalls and lot many varities of cusines available at each stall.People here in London shop a lot especially during Christmas for themselves as well as for their near and dear ones as there are heavy discounts going on everywhere.Here is how Christmas is celebrated in London with peace,joy and serenity.It was totally opposite of what I imagined.
