Besides commentary on the state of the road between our city - Kisumu, third largest, economically boomimg, home of the opposition party; and the capital - Nairobi, my recommendation is that the 'gardian angel' bus company include nausea tablets, a Migraine kit and a sterdy sportsbra as part of the bus ticket package. Furthermore, I'd like to advise that all Kenyans be educated on the advantages of fresh air, from primary level. What an eventful two days we've had! Ignorant of the traffic problem in Nairobi, (metro population 7,5 Mil) we spent most of our day in the car, and have had to postpone our trip to the giraffe center and elephant sanctuary till after our Safari. . For now - we are on our way to the Maasai Mara. Just stopped at the great rift valley lookout where I picked up some postcards to send home. Now passing Volcanic Mount Longonot where there are geothermal power plants which generate electricity for huge parts of Kenya from the volcano. 🌋 My favourite, and most accurate, Kenyan reference being Lion King - I imagine it was at this, or such, where the dark and firey, vicious scourching molten elephant graveyard scenes took place.
