Making a local connection Ireland

“Happiness is only real, when shared.” As it stated by Christopher McCandless, in his Book/Journal “Into the Wild”, people with whom we share our experiences and the consequent connections that we made wherever we are, are the most important factor of any journey. I leaned that lesson during my time in Dublin, in Ireland. The happy time were only fulfilled if it was shared with nice people and the hard times were only overcome by the same reason. I made great connections, as I find easy to do that in most of places where I go and I give real importance to that. Besides that, locals are the ones who can show you life as it is the place that you are. The stories, the cultural side, the habits, routines, the daily beauty and the struggle, everything is different when you understand by a tourist eye or a Local perspective. And once you understand that, friendships are build. I made some great friends in Dublin and most important: friends for life. Same in Rio and Lisbon, and Porto, and most of place where I’ve been. And that made all the difference. Connections are the difference between a good trip and a successful and amazing one. As Ernest Hemingway wrote: “Who will be in the trenches next to you? - And does it matter? - More than the war itself.”
