I would like to share my travel experience about hunting in the mid of dry mountains known as Koh E Salman which is located in Pakistan, which is the meeting point of all four provinces of Pakistan. We were 5 university friends planning for this adventure for a long time, due to to study and other activities we were not able to get a chance to go out for hunting adventure. All the friends were crazy to go out for this occasion to see the mountains zigzag and ribs shaking route, finally time came upon and we get a chance to arrange our personal conveyance to travel. We departed in one of the Thursday night of December from Lahore City to the nearby City Know by the name of Layyah which is situated at the distance of 500 Kilometers. We approached to our destination in the early morning. We stayed there to do breakfast and to get required groceries for the next journey to mountains. We managed all the needy things and departed for the next destination Known as Vohva which was at the distance of 200 Kilometers. We reached here in late evening. Some of our friends were waiting for us and they managed dinner and rest place for us. We discussed here for the next place where we were to go. At Friday morning hired a 4×4 WD Mazda which was specially modified for the route. Some professional gunmen and fish hunters joined us, our circle came upto 14 persons and at next moment we were in route to our final destination The Dry Mountains. There was made only one track for the vehicles which was too much difficult to overtake or cross the others vehicles. There were interesting rise and fall in the way. Our vehicle was moving over the stone having ribs shaking jumps. We were holding the grill rods firmly because there were quite chances to fall down to ground from vehicle. Our whole day spent in this shaking journey. We reached the destination late night with too much difficulties and we were warmly welcomed from our hosts. They were Pashtoon and were the permanent resident of this Area. The area was less populous having no hospital, no network coverage, and no light. It was difficult very difficult to drive the vehicle and to get right direction. We followed the old method of moon and stars to get right direction in this century. Now you can assume yourself the difficult journey. During movement we hunt a Drake which was enough for our dinner. By reaching the staying point we made dinner, a traditional dish of this area known as SOBAT containing Bread and the soup of Drake which we hunted during movement. After dinner we gossip and planned for the next day. Saturday morning we were offered special Qahwa from our host. After breakfast we moved for the hunting of grey francolins, quills, rabbits and some of ours friends moved for fishing. Unfortunately we were not get the fish but our other friends got able to hunt some grey francolin which was our perfect lunch. We cooked delicious Rice filled with the haunted meat of birds. We visit some historical places also and our next stay was at the next destination famous was by the name of ChittarWatta(an old piece of mountain's name). We were offere by a lamb to slaughter for the dinner. We made Qourma and BBQ'S for the dinner. We stayed for the night here and next day we moved back to our previous stop Vohva. During journey we hunted for fish and we got manage a huge amount of fish. That was for our dinner. We fried fish for our dinner and we were near about to our destination. We all reached back safely and we thanked GOD. We enjoyed the journey and the cold water which was coming from Afghanistan border, a neighbor country of Pakistan. This was the end of our journey. We saw here the simple life and the peoples were also so simple. Most of them used camels for transportation. There was a tradition for women to do all the work i.e to get water from the canal, and other household activities.
