It was one day when l traveled to Kisumu to pick my passport, when l felt like l tour briefly to see how Kisumu is developing . I cam a cross Lake Victoria where there were many new things that l have never seen. I saw many wild animals e.g. Lion, Monkey, baboons, Cheaters, Antelopes of different types, Ostrich , Tortoise etc. I felt too see the water how boats and ships are moving. Little did l know that very heavy ships float on water and wanted to know more about how do they balance on water. It was interesting and enjoyed the tour. As l moved on and on l realized there was some green leaves very beautiful and in fact l wanted to step on them and pluck some of them on water and at first l thought it was grass. It was a flat area and very green and very beautiful. As l started stepping moving closer to it l was stopped and told u will enter into water. I told them but it’s a nice green flat land. They told me it was thick green carpet of water hyacinth clogs floating on the water. It was shocking for me very much and they all laughed at me that where do l come from that have never seen such. I felt sad but they comforted me and informed me how they came about. I asked them how can green plants grow on water and they survive. They told me they only grow where there is water alone and if they are plucked from water they die. I came to realize that also green plants grow on water. As l was coming home l told myself al have to inform my friends what l saw at Lake Victoria and they learn to travel and tour different parts of Kenya to know many things. The water there is cool and quit and a very large land and fishing is done in the lake and people don’t fear that they may fall into the water. It was a very interesting thing l learning there and would always want to go and visit that area with water to just stare at how the Hyacinth with waves are moving.
